Ep.40 Jenny Crozier Joins us on the podcast this week. Jenny won 2023 trades woman of the year and has a children’s book out about welding . Jenny is working on her next childrens book about drywall, planned to drop early this year. This week on the podcast we talk about Women in the trades, the next generation of workers, companies making comfortable women’s work wear, the groups she’s apart of, each step of the project and how it effects the next trade, social media, being an “influencer”, mentors, REAL leadership, how sometimes all you need is one person to believe in you and the importance of being that person sometimes. Jenny is an icon and someone for all the little girls who want to build things and have been told “they couldn’t” to look up to. This was an excellent episode, she is doing so many things and has so much on the go it’s almost staggering so of course, we got along really well. She also ended the episode with an excellent poem. Teek’s presence on instagram is exploding right now and we talk some social media and content creating. She’s a big supporter of blue collar and people of the trades and we get into that this week. We talk drywall finishing, fresco harmony, parenting, the upcoming Surrey site, our excellent community we’re building and how quickly I turn into a “Phil fanboy” when he’s brought up. Wearing our Santa hats (except Kam, someone’s gotta rep the brand hahaha) we discuss the past year of adventures, Our favourite Christmas songs, Favourite AND least favourite gifts we ever got and how Aaron can’t be trusted having fun around inflatable Santa Clauses. That Plastering Girl 2/2

Ep.33 Alice brooking joins us this week on the podcast. Alice is from New Zealand, she was taught at a very young age by her dad and is an absolutely fantastic finisher. She’s currently skimming her house out and we talk about flat walls and ceilings compared to texture and wallpaper. We discuss tools, working in New Zealand, parenting, the community and how cool it is that we’ve started to all come together for big projects. It was an absolute pleasure being able to talk to Alice, Im a longtime follower of her page and a huge fan.
